ZAGREB, April 4 (Hina) - Zagreb's daily VJESNIK on Thursday runs a
column under the headline "HNS and HND Want to Unite" on events
among the Croatian parties. It says that the leaders of the
Croatian Peoples' Party and the Croatian Independent Democrats were
planning to unite soon.
The paper runs a commentary headlined "Blaskic Defends Himself
Out of Court" on the trial of General Tihomir Blaskic in The Hague.
The daily writes that the location where Blaskic is to stay could
not be known to anyone but the Tribunal and the Dutch authorities.
The paper also runs an interview with the Polish Foreign
Minister, Dariusz Rosati, on occasion of his imminent visit to
Croatia.
Columnist Maja Freundlich headlined her column "Goebbels,
Visinski..." in which she reacts to a text by Zdravko Tomac
published in the Zagreb weekly "Nacional".
Another Zagreb daily, VECERNJI LIST, runs a commentary
headlined "There is no Reason for Devaluation", from a news
conference held by the Croatian Peoples' Bank governor, Marko
Skreb.
The paper also runs an interview with the president of the
Alliance of Independent Croatian Unions, Davor Juric.
