A BRIEF LOOK AT CROATIAN PRESS ON THURSDAY

ZAGREB, March 28 (Hina) - Today's issue of "VJESNIK" brings on its front page an article about yesterday's protest of Croatian peasants against the Government's food import policy. The front page also brings a report on Parliament sessions under the headline 'Government Protects Domestic Product'. The paper also brings answers of Government representatives to some questions they received from parliamentary representatives during the Question Time: A bill on denationalisation will be discussed in the Parliament in April; phones of Opposition members are not being bugged; the Government did not sign a contract with Italy on the sale of natural gas from the Adriatic; the Government is acquainted with the intention of President Tudjman to revoke regulations with legal force, which had been adopted in the time of war danger. 'Future Lies In Economic Reconstruction' reads the headline of an article from a press conference held two days ago by General Jacques Klein in Vinkovci. The main topic of the paper is the meeting of separated families on the separation line toward the occupied territory. 'Opposition Leaders Are Not Being Tapped' reads one of the headlines in today's issue of "VECERNJI LIST". Darko Djuretek had an interview with Smiljan Reljic, aide to the Croatian Foreign Minister. The interview is headlined 'Papers Publish False Documents on Tapping'. The last case of death caused by Creuzfeld-Jacob's disease was registered in Croatia ten years ago, said Ivan Beus, head of the Zagreb Clinic for infectious diseases. (hina) rm jn 281120 MET mar 96
