ZADAR, March 27 (Hina) - Police officers from the Korenica police
station on Wednesday arrested C.P (born 1931) and brought him
before an investigating judge on the suspicion of taking part in an
armed mutiny against Croatia in the period from 1991 to 1995 and
taking possession of two "Mercedes" cars last August. The cars
belonged to the Plitvice National Park. He used the cars to help
former members of the Serb paramilitary forces to leave Croatia
during the Croatian military operation "Storm".
The suspect had left Croatia last August, along with other
Serbs, but has recently returned without the cars and continued to
live in Plitvice until he was recognized as having participated in
an armed mutiny and stolen official vehicles.
P.C. has been handed over to a military judge in Karlovac, a
statement from the Police Administration said.
