SISAK, March 13 (Hina) - The Sisak Police last Saturday

Dejanovic from the village of Dejanovic near Petrinja (50 km

After the completion of the Croatian military action 'Storm'
at the beginning of August last year, Dejanovic went into hiding
in dugouts in the Jazovica forest, not far from his village. #L#
He was hiding in three firm and well-sheltered dugouts
constructed for long periods of hiding, the head of the Interior
Minister's cabinet, Zdravko Zidovec, and the Sisak police
superintendent, Vladimir Milankovic, told a news conference on
Wednesday.
At the time of arrest, Dejanovic had a semi-automatic weapon
on his person, while a "PKT" machine gun with a large amount of
ammunition, two semi-automatic weapons, three hand grenades and
other military equipment as well as large stocks of food were
found in the near-by dugout. This pointed to the fact that he had
intended to stay in hiding for a long time, Zidovec and
Milankovic said.
At the time of arrest, Dejanovic was wearing a camouflage
uniform with Serb paramilitary force insignia.
During conversation with Dejanovic's father Jovan, who had
stayed in his home in Dejanovici after the Croatian military
operation "Storm", it was established that Dusan had fought in
Serb paramilitary units on fronts in Banovina, Lika and in
Bosnia-Herzegovina.
The police charged Dusan Dejanovic with the criminal act of
armed mutiny. Dejanovic had been handed over to the military
investigating judge in Zagreb, Zidovec and Milankovic said.
Twelve Serbs, who had stayed in the area after "Storm", have
been brought to the Sisak police station on the suspicion of
aiding Dejanovic in hiding. The Sisak Police is expected to bring
charges against the twelve Serbs.
