'Whenever it was necessary to implement what we had agreed
upon by the Constitution and other documents, we encountered great
difficulties. It's the same now. We have to implement the part of
the Rome agreements which refers to the establishment of the police
force in Sarajevo suburbs and the establishment of a canton in the
Sarajevo area but we have encountered great difficulties and
differences among political partners', Zubak said.
Asked to say whether agreement would be reached in the dispute
over the organisation of Sarajevo or whether international
mediation would be necessary, Zubak said he believed that the
current decisions as regards the status of Sarajevo would be
changed.
'I talked today to the Federation's Vice President Ejup Ganic.
I believe that we will manage to solve the issue of political and
legal organisation of the city and that we will settle
misunderstandings with police forces in line with the Rome
agreement and the federal Interior Affairs Act', the President of
the Federation of Bosnia-Herzegovina said.
