Delegations of the Bosnian Federation and Bosnia-Herzegovina
Parliaments on Friday ended their visit to Croatia.
The delegations were trying to contribute to the defusing of
tensions between Croats and Moslems in Bosnia-Herzegovina, Pavletic
said.
"Although peace has arrived, the hotbed of crisis still exists
and representatives of both peoples of the Federation support the
defusing of tensions," Pavletic said.
He said that a Croatian Parliament delegation comprised of
experts on the Constitution and economy would visit Sarajevo to
clarify the Dayton and Washington agreements together with
representatives of both Bosnian parliaments.
Expressing his satisfaction with the talks in Croatia, Lazovic
said he hoped the problem of different interpretations of
agreements would be resolved.
"We accepted the Federation in good faith. A political
struggle for the reintegration of Bosnia-Herzegovina is imminent,"
Lazovic said, adding that Croatian authorities confirmed their
readiness to breathe life into the Federation.
The return of displaced persons was a precondition for
ensuring equal rights for all, Ljubic said.
"We need international support for ensuring the return,"
Ljubic said.
Asked about recent misunderstandings between Croats and
Moslems in Sarajevo, Pavletic said that any problems had to be
resolved by legal bodies of the Federation.
"If Croats in Sarajevo decided that they did not belong there
any more, it would result in a catastrophe for both Croats and
Moslems and would start a succession of critical events in the
Federation," Pavletic said, calling on the Croat and Moslem sides
to defuse, not increase tensions.
