ZAGREB, Feb 13 (Hina) - Russia supported the peaceful reintegration of eastern Slavonia and wanted to contribute to finding a compromise to all disputable issues, a special representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry in charge of
implementing the Basic Agreement on Eastern Slavonia, Ambassador Aleksandar Aksenjonk, said after meeting with Croatian Vice Premier Ivica Kostovic on Tuesday.

of eastern Slavonia and wanted to contribute to finding a
compromise to all disputable issues, a special representative of
the Russian Foreign Ministry in charge of implementing the Basic
Agreement on Eastern Slavonia, Ambassador Aleksandar Aksenjonk,
said after meeting with Croatian Vice Premier Ivica Kostovic on

"This is the first time I am in Croatia as a special
representative of Russia. My task is to positively and
constructively contribute to the implementation of the Basic
Agreement by cooperating with all sides," Aksenjonk said.
He described the meeting with Kostovic as very constructive
and fruitful.
"The Croatian side will do all it can to facilitate the
implementation of the UN Security Council Resolution 1037,"
Kostovic stressed.
