"U.S. Ambassador to Croatia, Peter Galbraith, who yesterday
visited Vukovar, has a very active role in this process", Kostovic
said, adding that it was encouraging that the local Serbs in
eastern Slavonia had realised that the area would be reintegrated
into the Croatian legal and economic system.
Kostovic added that his talks with Galucci had also revolved
around the situation in Bosnia-Herzegovina and the fact that the
U.S. had expressed their satisfaction with the return of refugees
to Jajce, Travnik and Stolac.
Stressing that his meetings with officials in Vienna, Geneva
and Brussels had tackled the process of reintegration of the
Croatian Danubean area, Robert Galluci described the meeting with
Kostovic as very good. He added that the exchange of opinions had
been successful.
