ZAGREB, Feb 1 (Hina) - Croatia held that the European Union should
have a more effective role in the process of peaceful reintegration
of eastern Slavonia, western Srijem and Baranja as well as in the
reconstruction of Vukovar, Croatian Vice Premier Ivica Kostovic
told a press conference after his meeting with Spanish Ambassador

'We discussed peaceful reintegration of the Croatian Danubian
area and reconstruction of the region', Kostovic said, adding he
exchanged with the Spanish Ambassador information on European
Union's joining the process.
Ambassador de la Pena described today's meeting as very good,
adding they had exchanged views on the situation in the Croatian
Danubian area.
