ZAGREB, Jan 19 (Hina) - British Ambassador to Zagreb Gavin Hewitt on Friday met Croatian deputy prime minister Ivica Kostovic for talks on the question of Croatian Danube area and its reintegration to Croatian legal system.

After the meeting Hewitt told reporters that he had informed
Kostovic on his recent visit to Erdut and Vukovar, adding he was
about to travel there again on next Thursday to meet local Serb
leaders Milan Milanovic, Dusan Loncar and Slavko Dokmanovic.
Describing today's talks as very useful, the British diplomat
said his government would assist in reintegration of the remaining
occupied Croatia's territory.
"It is a part of Croatia and we will see that the transitional
authority be effective," Hewitt said.
