A statement issued by the U.S. Embassy in Sarajevo today said
that Krajisnik had promised the Serbs would cooperate in the
implementation of both plans and accepted the proposal to appear on
Bosnian Serb television and personally condemn sniper attacks.
Ambassador Menzies and Krajisnik also talked about ever more
frequent reports according to which the people living around
Sarajevo, who wanted to remain in their homes, were being pressured
to leave them. Krajisnik also promised that no obstacles would be
placed in the restoration of electricity supply to Gorazde.
A new meeting between Menzies and Krajisnik would take place
on 1 February.
