Today's talks concentrated on the situation in Bosnia-
Herzegovina and the importance of all sides abiding by the Dayton
agreement, Gallucci told reporters after his meeting with Croatia's
President Franjo Tudjman.
The two officials discussed the situation in Bosnia-
Herzegovina, the establishment of the Croat-Muslim Federation, the
situation in Mostar and the implementation of the basic agreement
on the reintegration of the Croatian Danube valley.
As regards the deadlines provided for in the Dayton agreement,
Gallucci said he expected that those deadlines would be respected
'if all sides are to work on its implementation'. So far, those
deadlines had been respected, he added.
The United States had committed itself to support the
implementation of the agreement on eastern Slavonia, Gallucci said,
adding he had described to President Tudjman America's efforts to
put together forces which would be in charge of the implementation
of the agreement.
On Tuesday, Gallucci is to leave for Belgrade where he will
have talks with the Serbian President Slobodan Milosevic.
He is also to visit Sarajevo on Wednesday.
