'We have agreed to continue working together, especially on
the establishment of the Federation', Gallucci said after the talks
which tackled the situation in Bosnia-Herzegovina, with a special
stress on the situation in Mostar.
Asked if he was satisfied with the implementation of the
Dayton agreement, Gallucci said he thought no one could be
satisfied with the speed of its implementation.
Some incidents which had happened recently in Mostar as well
as in Sarajevo and elsewhere caused concern, Gallucci said, adding
it was important that such incidents did not happen any more and
that deadlines be respected.
Minister Susak stressed the need for a more active approach in
implementing the agreement, adding he believed that some questions
would be tackled during Gallucci's visit to Sarajevo. In case
Croats and Bosniacs failed to agree on those questions, their
solution would be entrusted to the Federation's arbitrator.
'We have to go on with the Federation', Susak stressed.
Croatia had had a very important role in the negotiations on
the Dayton agreement, Gallucci said, adding President Tudjman's
role in the talks had been crucial.
'I think that Croatia would continue to have an important
role', he said, commenting on Croatia's role in the peace process
in Bosnia-Herzegovina.
