WALKER ISSUES DECREE ON MARKING PUBLIC ENTERPRISE IN DANUBE REGION

DANUBE REGION $ VUKOVAR, Sept 8 (Hina) - The UN transitional administrator for the Danube region of eastern Croatia, William Walker, on 20 August 1997 issued a decree on marking public institutions and enterprises, as well as local authority offices in the area, the UNTAES headquarters in Vukovar said in a statement on Monday. According to the decree, buildings holding the said Croatian enterprises and institutions will bear bilingual official plates after the reintegration procedure is completed with the official signing of a document. The official plates of these enterprises and institutions, as well as of ministry, county and other administration offices, will bear inscriptions in + the Croatian and the Serb language, in the Latin and the Cyrillic script. The mentioned decree has been issued to the effect of facilitating the reintegration of public institutions and enterprises, and stepping up the transfer of authority in the UN-administered area to the Republic of Croatia, the UNTAES statement said.
