BOSNIAN SERB REPS HOLD MEETING BEHIND CLOSED DOORS

SARAJEVO, Aug 26 (Hina) - Several representatives of the dissolved assembly of the Bosnian Serb entity met on the mountain of Jahorina near Pale on Tuesday, in spite of the announcement of their meeting being proclaimed illegal earlier on. The assembly's president, Dragan Palinic, said at the beginning 45 of 83 representatives were present, and proposed the analysis of the situation in Republika Srpska after the Constitutional Court proclaimed that Republika Srpska President Biljana Plavsic's decision to dissolve the parliament was illegal. The representatives in attendance today decided to hold a session behind closed doors, after which a live TV broadcast was immediately cancelled. The session was completely illegal, Duncan Bullivant, spokesman for the international high representative's office told reporters, adding no international organization would send their monitors to Jahorina. Pale's radio today reported an overnight "police action" prevented "unauthorized persons" from Banja Luka in an attempt to seize control over a radio and television transmitter in Duge Njive near Serb-controlled Doboj, northern BH. Pale's television gives unconditional support to war criminal Radovan Karadzic and Momcilo Krajisnik, Serb representative in the BH Presidency, whereas television in Banja Luka supports Plavsic. A special commission of experts of the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe concluded that Pale radio and TV seriously violated election rules. According to David Foley, a spokesman for OSCE's mission in BH, the expert commission requested of Pale radio and TV to stop violating rules and to, at once and without any alteration, broadcast special statements by representatives of the UN and the international high representative's office. UN spokesman in Sarajevo Liam McDowall said that members of the International Police Task Force and the Stabilization Force discovered a large quantity of unallowed military material in Teslic and Blatnica, 20 km south of Doboj. The found machine- guns, ammunition and explosive was seized by NATO soldiers. (hina) ha jn 261507 MET aug 97
