SFOR TROOPS BEGIN TWO-DAY EXERCISE IN SERB-CONTROLLED BOSNIA

MOSTAR, Aug 20 (Hina) - Spanish and French troops serving in the Stabilisation Force (SFOR) on Wednesday began a two-day joint exercise in a Serb-controlled area of southeastern Bosnia- Herzegovina, the NATO-led peace force said in a statement. Operation "Centaur", involving about 300 men and women and over 80 vehicles, will focus on the transfer and deployment of troops in the areas of Trebinje, Nevesinje and a part of the Stolac municipality in the Serb entity. SFOR troops will not use combat ammunition during the exercise. French and Spanish generals Christian Delanghe and Miguel Simon issued strict orders on the protection of the environment.
