SARAJEVO, Aug 2 (Hina) - Partial telephone connection between the
(Croat-Muslim) Federation of Bosnia-Herzegovina and Republika
Srpska should be set up at 00.00 hours of 4 August, Sarajevo's
dailies said on Saturday, reporting a statement by BH's Postal
and Telecommunications Services.
As of Monday it will be possible to communicate by phone
between the BH Federation and Banja Luka and Trebinje (Serb
entity) via access codes which were in use when BH had a common
telephone system, the statement said.
Until now, telephone communication between the BH
Federation and the Bosnian Serb entity was possible only via the
Yugoslav access code, and was therefore very difficult.
The phone systems of Bosnia's two entities should be
connected entirely during September after the completion of a
European Union-financed project.
