BOSNIAN CROATS IMPLEMENT AGREEMENT ON RETURN OF MOSLEM REFUGEES TO JAJ

TO JAJ $ CE JAJCE, Aug 22 (Hina) - With the return of 90 Moslem refugees to the village of Sibenica near Jajce, central Bosnia, the Bosnian Croats have implemented an agreement on the return of Moslems to five villages in the Jajce area which began on August 16, Jajce Municipal Council chairman Jozo Lucic said on Thursday. A total of 455 refugees have returned although the agreement envisaged the return of 300 to 400 representatives of refugee families. Assistant to the police chief Marko Bilandzija denied allegations by Moslem officials that the mines which had exploded on Wednesday injuring two refugees, had been planted subsequently and on purpose. Bilandzija recalled that for six years the area had been under the control of Bosnian Serb forces who had laid thousands of land mines. He said that there had also been cases of Croat returnees being killed or injured by mine explosions. (hina) vm 220919 MET aug 97
