54,000 TOURISTS SPEND HOLIDAYS IN SPLIT COUNTY

SPLIT, 5 Aug (Hina) - According to the latest data from the Split County Tourist Association, 54,000 foreign and domestic tourists are spending their holidays in Split County, which is 60% more than in the same period last year. The guests are mainly Italians - some 6,000 Italians arrived last week and most of them stayed in central Dalmatia. The municipality of Baska Voda has the largest number of guests - 5,100. It is followed by Gradac (5,000) and Bol on the island of Brac (4,800). The town of Hvar on the island of Hvar has 4,300 guests. It is followed by Stari Grad (3,000) and Jelsa (3,500).
