The session also tackled a program of Croatia's tourist advertising
for 1998, which is to be financed with 117 million kunas. The basic goal
of the Croatian tourism in 1998 is to attract one million tourists and
increase tourist trade by two billion kunas.
The strategic bases in advertising the Croatian tourism will be the
presentation of Croatia as an ecologically preserved country with
diverse holiday possibilities, a country with rich Central-European
cultural heritage and as a country which is close to the most important
western European centres.
In 1998, Croatia's tourism will be presented at 47 fairs throughout
Europe. The advertising campaign will be most intense in Germany,
Austria, Italy, the Czech Republic, Slovakia and Hungary, as well as the
Netherlands, Poland and Bosnia-Herzegovina - Croatia's best tourist
partners.
