Before today's short sessions of the Parliament House of
Representatives and House of Peoples, the Council of Ministers discussed
again the laws from the so-called 'quick-start' package and the content
of an agreement on relations between Bosnia-Herzegovina and the
International Monetary Fund.
'Parliament has adopted a framework for the application of very
important laws in the whole state, including those on joint customs
tariffs and one central bank', deputy to the High Representative Carlos
Westendorp, Michael Steiner, told reporters after today's vote.
The laws adopted today are the first laws adopted by the Assembly
of Bosnia-Herzegovina since its establishment after last year's
elections, Steiner said.
He confirmed that there are no more obstacles for the organisation
of the donors' conference, adding that there would be a short
postponement.
The conference would be held in the first half of July, Steiner
said.
