SARAJEVO, May 28 (Hina) - The Bosnian Presidency Thursday ratified
an agreement on the establishment of an inter-state council for
cooperation between Croatia and Bosnia-Herzegovina which both
houses of the Bosnian parliament had adopted earlier.
The members of the Presidency also adopted a final plan for the
liquidation of the National Bank of the former Yugoslav Republic of
BH.
That was a condition to start circulation of the convertible mark,
Bosnia's new currency, the Presidency chairman's advisor for
foreign affairs Mirza Hajric told reporters after today's
session.
Bosnian Central Bank Governor Peter Nicholl today presented a
sample of the new banknote to the Presidency.
The printing of the new banknotes was recently completed in France,
and the first delivery to Sarajevo was made two days ago.
According to Hajric, Governor Nicholl and the members of the
Presidency decided the convertible mark should officially be
circulated starting June 15.
