MOSTAR, May 20 (Hina) - The new president of the Croatian Democratic
Union of Bosnia-Herzegovina (HDZ BH) will contribute to better
cooperation between the party and the international community, and
between the Croat and Muslim sides in Bosnia, the head of the Mostar
regional office of the international High Representative for
Bosnia, Martin Garrod, said Wednesday.
New HDZ BH president Ante Jelavic's speech at the party's last
weekend convention was encouraging and clearly expressed a strong
wish to achieve better cooperation and joint work, Garrod told
reporters in Mostar.
He believed it was very important that Jelavic received 73 per cent
of the vote, as it put him in a strong position to lead the
programme.
