into the offices of the Social Democratic Party (SDP) in Osijek. The burglar is Kreso Novak, who stole from the SDP offices a computer, a fax machine, two phones and a plasticising device. During a search of Novak's apartment, the police discovered and confiscated various types of weaponry. The police have established that Novak is a former SDP member. Antun Jankovic, president of the Osijek SDP branch, said Novak was not a party member as had been reported by the Osijek police. Novak had signed a membership application form several years ago but he never attended party meetings or paid membership fees, Jankovic said. Antun Jankovic, president of the Osijek SDP branch, said Novak was

Novak did not come again but he did harass SDP members in person and
over the phone, he added.
