SARAJEVO, Dec 15 (Hina) - The President of Bosnia's Croat-Muslim
federation, Ivo Andric Luzanski, and the chief commander of NATO's
Stabilisation Force (SFOR) in Bosnia-Herzegovina, General Ronald
Adams, on Wednesday held talks in Sarajevo on the establishment of
border police and the reduction of military potential.
According to a statement from Luzanski's Office, it was pointed out
during the talks that the social status of demobilised members of
the armies in Bosnia's two entities must be settled thus as to
secure new jobs for them. Part of those soldiers should be employed
in the border police.
Luzanski and Adams also discussed the participation of soldiers and
officers in Croatia's impending parliamentary elections,
concluding that the members of the armed force should refrain from
any activity which would favour any political party.
Discussing the issue of Bosnian Croat television station Erotel,
specifically the rebroadcasting of Croatian Radio-Television
programmes in Bosnia, Luzanski and Adams agreed compromise was the
only solution.
General Adams extended on his and SFOR's behalf condolences on the
recent passing of Croatian President Franjo Tudjman, the statement
from Luzanski's Office concluded.
