VINKOVCI/VUKOVAR, Dec 25 (Hina) - Unidentified persons damaged eleven tomb-stones at an Orthodox cemetery in the eastern Croatian town of Vukovar, the Vukovar-Srijem police department reported Friday. After an anonymous phone call,
received at 14.22 hours Friday, police conducted an investigation. The police is still searching for perpetrators. The Independent Democratic Serbian Party (SDSS) and the Joint Council of Serb-populated municipalities in the Danube River Region (ZVO) expressed their standpoints on Friday. "Our bitterness is even greater given that we received the news on this act of vandalism an hour after we sent Christmas and New Years greetings on behalf of the Serb national community, in which we expressed hope in better tomorrow and further progress in the establishment of trust and tolerance", read a statement.
