OSIJEK COUNTY DELEGATION TO VISIT ITALY

OSIJEK, Oct 11 (Hina) - A delegation of Osijek-Baranja County, headed by Prefect Branimir Glavas, on Monday left for the Italian region Friuli-Venezia-Giulia for a working visit. The delegation will discuss with their Italian hosts the reconstruction of Osijek County and other areas in eastern Croatia. The Italian government approved the participation of the Friuli region in the reconstruction of eastern Slavonia with seven billion liri, intended for development programmes in economy, devised by Osijek County. The programmes, prepared this last spring by the Osijek County leadership, will also be presented to FINEST, a financial association for the promotion of economic cooperation with east- European countries, which supports joint investments of companies from north-east Italy. An Italian delegation is expected to pay a return visit to Croatia in some 20 days, when a protocol on cooperation between the two counties should be signed. (hina) rml
