SPLIT, Sept 27 (Hina) - Split-Dalmatia County prefect Branimir Luksic on Monday received Hungary's Pecs-Baranja County counterpart Ferencz Kekes, who is visiting Croatia for the first time. The two prefects discussed the long-standing
historical and cultural ties between Croatia and Hungary, and asserted cooperation between the two counties was increasing "primarily thanks to businessmen." The two prefects also emphasised the increased understanding between the two peoples, especially in view of similar fates in recent history. Prefect Kekes said Pecs-Baranja County has the largest number of Croats in Hungary. He expressed interest in cultural cooperation with Split, and Hungary's interest in exporting goods through Croatian ports Split, Rijeka, and Ploce.
