NEW YORK, Sept 25 (Hina) - The head of a Croatian delegation to the 54th session of the United Nations General Assembly in New York, Croatian Foreign Minister Mate Granic, on Friday held separate talks with foreign ministers of
Ireland, Luxembourg, and Sudan.

Luxemburgian Foreign Minister Lydia Polser said that her county
supported an idea of establishing a working group which would
enable a permanent dialogue between Croatia and the European Union.
The minister expressed interest in Croatia's opinion on the
situation in the region and its relations with neighbouring
countries. Polser also expressed hope that Croatia would continue
to cooperate with the International Criminal Tribunal for the
former Yugoslavia (ICTY).
Minister Granic requested that the Luxeburgian Parliament
accelerated the ratification of an agreement on the cancellation of
visas for Croatian citizens.
Irish Foreign Minister David Andrews, said that Croatia needed to
express readiness to actively, and as a full member participates in
the international community by fulfilling its obligations.
Minister Andrews said that this particularly referred to Croatia's
cooperation with the ICTY.
Ireland will support Croatia's joining the United Nations Economic
and Social Council, and as an European candidate, it expects
Croatia's vote for Ireland's mandate in the Security Council,
Andrews added.
The Croatian Foreign Minister also held talks with the Sudanese
Foreign Minister, Mustafa Osman Ismail, on the development of
economic cooperation between the two countries.
