ZAGREB, Oct 8 (Hina) - Croatian Deputy Foreign Minister Ivo Sanader on Friday held talks with Osijek-Baranja prefect Branimir Glavas on a decision by the Italian Government, according to which Italy would donate ITL7 billion for the
reconstruction of the eastern Croatian region of Slavonia, the Croatian Foreign Ministry reported. Italian Deputy Foreign Ministry Umberto Ranieri informed Sanader of the decision on Wednesday. According to a statement issued by the Croatian Foreign Ministry, the donation will be realised through the Italian province of Friuli-Venezia Giulia. Sanader stressed that this would strengthen Croatian-Italian relations.
