LIVNO, July 8 (Hina) - The head of the UN mission to Bosnia-Herzegovina, Alun Roberts, on Thursday told reporters in Livno (south-western Bosnia) that a protest rally staged by residents in the municipality of Drvar in front of the
police station on July 2 had been politically motivated and organised. On July 2 Drvar Croats protested at an attempt of Serb returnee to rape a Croat female refugee, aged 21 from Kakanj The man then inflicted serious injuries on the girl. After that attack, the branch office of the High Representative in Drvar decided that the return of Serbs should cease temporarily due to frequent incidents in this western Bosnian municipality. Roberts and a representative of the OSCE regional office in Banja Luka, Sven Lidholm, however, said on Thursday that Serbs would continue coming back to Drvar.(hina) jn ms
