ZADAR ZADAR, June 12 (Hina) - An investigating judge of Zadar County Court ruled that a Croatian soccer first-league umpire, Rene Sinovcic, should be held in custody after Zadar police preferred charges against him on Friday on
suspicion that he did a criminal act of extortion, and demanded custody for him. Zadar policemen apprehended Sinovcic at about a quarter to noon yesterday after he had taken 1,100 extorted German marks from a Zadar citizen in the centre of this Adriatic town.
