SKOPJE, April 22 (Hina) - About 10,000 Kosovo refugees crossed into Macedonia on Wednesday. Most of them entered the country via illegal crossings near Kumanovo. Only a few thousands of them were accommodated in refugee centres and
houses, but most of deportees spent the night in busses, since camps were overcrowded. UNHCR has recommended to western countries that they accept more refugees as soon as possible, since a wave of additional 100,000 Kosovans may appear soon at the border with Macedonia. They asked the Government to be more energetic before the
international community in efforts to get Macedonia's associate
membership to the European Union and admittance into NATO as well in
demands for help to solve the refugee crisis.
