ZAGREB, Apr 20 (Hina) - The Croatian Interior Ministry on Tuesday evening issued a statement saying the situation on Croatia's borders with the Federal Republic of Yugoslavia, both in the south and in the east, was stable and under
control. Since NATO began with its air strikes against targets in the neighbouring country, control in the border areas has been intensified. There have been no changes in the traffic regime at the southern border crossings Debeli Brijeg and Konfin, the statement said. The number of Montenegrins entering Croatia has decreased after members of the Yugoslav army set up a checkpoint on a road leading to the two mentioned crossings. The Croatian Interior Ministry reiterated its own and the Foreign Ministry's recommendation to Croatian citizens to not travel to Yugoslavia for security reasons.(hina) ha
