SKOPLJE, April 19 (Hina) - There was no new influx of Kosovo refugees on Macedonian border crossings on Monday, which was confirmed by a U.N. High Commissioner for Refugees' (UNHCR) spokeswoman Paula Gedini. Gedini added she had no
information on the Yugoslav border being closed, however, the refugees were returning. Last weekend, 9,500 refugees were accepted on legal and another 1,500 on illegal crossings. There are currently 140,000 Kosovo refugees in Macedonia, of whom 45,000 are accommodated in refugee camps, the Macedonian interior ministry reported.(hina) rml
