ZAGREB, March 9 (Hina) - Non-government organisations are planning to join in the pre-election and election process with the aim of stimulating citizens to participate in the coming elections, said an appeal, signed by a group
representing about 20 Croatian non-government organisations. The appeal was initiated by the Centre for the Research of Non-Profit Organisations (CERANEO), the association "Organised Election Monitoring by Citizens" (GONG), Croatian Helsinki Committee (HHO), the HOMO organisation and others. Non-government organisations intend to participate in discussions on adopting a new election law, as well as to educate citizens about participation in the elections, and organise actions aimed at motivating them to participate in the elections. The non-government organisations also announced that they would monitor and critically report about pre-election activities of all parties
