This rating signifies the insecure political atmosphere which can be a source of risks for potential investors, the D&B's agent in Croatia explained. According to this corporation, an increase in risks has been caused by the unstable political situation in the country and possible not so good results of the ruling (HDZ) party at the forthcoming parliamentary election. Countries that are before Croatia in the standings are Slovenia
with DB3a credit rating, the Czech Republic, Hungary and Poland
with DB3b rating, Estonia with DB4c and Latvia, Lithuania and
Slovakia with DB4d.
Croatia shares the ninth place with Romania, while Bulgaria and
Kazakhstan followed them with the DB5c appraisal.
