ZAGREB, Feb 9 (Hina) - Croatian Economy Minister Nenad Porges on Tuesday held talks with an Israeli economic delegation on developing economic relations and preparing the signing of two agreements between the two countries. This is
the first visit of an official economic delegation of Israel to Croatia. The delegation is headed by Doy Mishor, director of the Ministry of Industry and Trade, the Croatian Economy Ministry said in a statement. The two sides agreed to as soon as possible complete talks on a trade and economic cooperation agreement and an agreement on stimulation and mutual protection of investments. It is expected that the two agreements could be initialled in the next month and a half. Ministry of Industry and Trade, the Croatian Economy Ministry said

The two sides agreed to as soon as possible complete talks on a trade
and economic cooperation agreement and an agreement on stimulation
and mutual protection of investments.

As regards a free trade agreement, the two sides agreed to start

Croatia's admission to the World Trade Organisation (WTO), in early
2000.
Israel has welcomed the possibility of Croatia's joining the WTO
soon.
