ZAGREB, Jan 20 (Hina) - Croatian Foreign Minister will travel to Prague on January 21 for an official visit to the Czech Republic. During his two-day stay Granic will hold talks with his Czech counterpart Jan Kavan and a few high
officials and sign three bilateral agreements on air traffic, double tax avoidance and social insurance. The Czech President Vaclav Havel will receive Croatian Foreign Minister as well. The diplomatic relations between Croatia and the then Czechoslovakia were established on May 11, 1992, and both countries describe the bilateral relations as good. The two countries have signed nine treaties including the March 1998 agreement on military cooperation. There are still two open issues between Croatia and the Czech Republic - to conclude an agreement on free trade and to settle accounts according to the clearing balance.(hina) mm/ms
