Orban told Croatian reporters at the Hungarian Parliament on
Tuesday evening.
Talks about the issue are being held, and certain progress should be
expected during upcoming talks in Zagreb, he added.
Orban said Hungary's forthcoming accession into the NATO and
joining the EU would not distance it from its neighbours, nor would
it reduce its interest in cooperation in the region.
We are going to Zagreb to confirm the strategic partnership between
Hungary and Croatia, Orban stressed. He added two points of the
partnership were integration issues and economy.
The Hungarian delegation will hold talks with Croatian officials
about the promotion of economic cooperation and the possibility of
extending cooperation of regions.
The talks will also focus on the position of the Hungarian minority
in Croatia.
The Hungarian delegation, led by Orban, will meet Croatian
President Franjo Tudjman, Prime Minister Zlatko Matesa, tourism
Minister Sergej Morsan, and Transport Minister Zeljko Luzavec.
The Hungarians will also visit the northern Adriatic Croatian port
of Rijeka.
