HDZ SECRETARY-GENERAL COMMENTS ON SEPAROVIC'S RESIGNATION

BABINA GREDA, Jan 30 (Hina) - Analysing the overall situation in Croatian intelligence services, Croatian President Franjo Tudjman decided that it was time to make certain changes in the personnel for the sake of better organisation, Croatian Democratic Union (HDZ) party's secretary-general Drago Krpina said on Saturday. Krpina stated this at today's constituent assembly of the Association of Villages "Stjepan Sulimanac" in Babina Greda, a village in the south-western part of Vukovar County. Commenting on yesterday's resignation of Miroslav Separovic from his post as director of the Croatian Intelligence Service (HIS), Krpina said: "Those are regular personnel changes, and Miroslav Separovic presented his personal and special reasons why he wanted to leave the post of HIS director". Krpina said he regretted the fact that Separovic also resigned from his party duties, adding he believed there was no reason whatsoever to do such a thing. If Miroslav Separovic did have reasons why he wanted to leave the post of HIS director, I believe there was no reason whatsoever to connect that decision with his leaving party duties, Krpina said.
