ZAGREB, Jan 28 (Hina) - The Croatian government on Thursday adopted a proposal by the Finance Ministry for a loan contract with the World Bank aimed at drafting a project on investing into the pension system. The loan is to amount to
approximately US$1.76 million and will be used for consultation services, operative costs, training and qualifying employees to independently plan pension reforms in Croatia. Approximately US$1.35 million has been envisaged for consultative services, costs of operation should be allocated US$142,560, training and qualifying for employees will receive US$90,000, while the remainder of the amount has not been specifically earmarked. The aim of pension reforms is to restructure the existing pension system of generation solidarity by supplementing it with compulsory and voluntary pension superannuating.
