STRASBOURG, Sept 26 (Hina) - The Council of Europe's Parliamentary Assembly started a debate on discontinuing its monitoring in Croatia on Tuesday morning. Based on a positive report, which emphasises that Croatia has fulfilled almost
all commitments taken over upon its admission to the Council of Europe, it is expected that representatives of the Council of Europe member-states would decide to discontinue the monitoring. Croatia and the Council of Europe could then start a post-monitoring dialogue, which is aimed at assisting the country in fulfilling the remaining conditions.(hina) rml
