ZAGREB, June 14 (Hina) - Croatian Prime Minister Ivica Racan on Wednesday received a delegation of the World Bank, headed by director of the World Bank for Croatia Andrew Vorkink. Racan informed Vorkink of measures Croatia took aiming
at the stabilisation and development of economy. The Prime Minister congratulated Vorkink on his appointment to the duty of the new director of the World Bank for Croatia and expressed belief that cooperation between Croatia and the World Bank would develop to the satisfaction of both parties, read a statement issued by the Croatian Government Media and Public Relations Office. The Prime Minister congratulated Vorkink on his appointment to the

Vorkink congratulated Prime Minister Racan on brave and determined
steps the Croatian Government had taken and expressed
understanding for problems of countries in transition. He said that
after Croatia's success in foreign policy the progress in economy
would follow in the near future and promised support on the issue.
In the next several days, special groups of experts of the World
Bank will hold talks with ministers on concrete projects by which
the World Bank could help Croatia.
