MAY SAW TURNOVER OF 41.5 MILLION KUNA AT VARAZDIN SECURITIES MARKET

VARAZDIN, June 5 (Hina) - In May the Varazdin Securities Market registered the turnover of 41,475,599 kuna. A lion's share of the turnover - 32.4 million kuna - was made in the segment where business was done with shares of 37 companies. The value of the market's official index (VIN) fell by 1.76 percent to 403 points last month. As regards companies' shares, the largest volume of business of 10.5 million kuna was achieved with shares of the ELKA firm. One share was worth 76.03 kuna. Last month the price of this share had the biggest rise of 43.45 percent. The second highest rise in the price of 37.50 percent was for shares of the Tucepi Hotel, which valued 55 kuna. The biggest drop of 56.41 percent was with shares of "Koncar- Elektroindustrija" which were worth 25.99 kuna. The second biggest fall of 55.43 percent was with shares of Palace Hotel that totalled 160 kuna in May. Regarding the quotation of shares of privatisation and investment funds (PIFs), the largest turnover was registered with shares of 'Dom Fond'. At the end of May they rose by 0.42 percent to 21.69 kuna. These shares were the only to have an increase in their price. Prices of shares of the remaining six PIFs fell during May. (hina) mm ms
