ZAGREB, April 10 (Hina) - A former defence minister and HDZ deputy to the Sabor, Pavao Miljavac, joined the recently established political party, the Democratic Centre (DC), said DC President Mate Granic on Monday. According to the DC
statute, Miljavac was also elected as a Vice-President of the party, at Monday's first session of the DC presidency. With Miljavac's joining the DC, this party has met conditions for setting up its bench in the Croatian National Parliament's House of Representatives. The head of the bench will be Vesna Skare Ozbolt. This party will now request the new distribution of membership in committees and other parliamentary bodies, Granic added. Speaking of the May 7 election for the City Assembly of Zagreb, Granic said the DC would run in the polls independently.(hina) ms
