ZAGREB, March 16 (Hina) - Mate Granic, one of the founders of the Croatian Democratic Centre (HDC) party, announced on Thursday that after its official registration the party would in early April request from the president of the
Croatian National Sabor the official registration of its benches in both parliamentary houses. Granic told Hina the HDC would after its official registration also request that duties, i.e. mandates in parliamentary working bodies, be re-distributed. Granic believes about a dozen representatives from the Croatian Democratic Union (HDZ) would by that time join the HDC. He also believes the HDC stands better chances in the upcoming local election in Zagreb than the HDZ. "HDC's first political goal is its victory over the HDZ in Zagreb," Granic said.(hina) mm rml
