ZAGREB, March 24 (Hina) - Following discussions between parliamentary parties, the Croatian National Sabor's House of Representatives on Friday unanimously appointed ten parliamentary representatives as members of the Croatian Radio
Television (HRT) Council. Three seats on the Council were given to the representatives of the Social Democratic Party/Croatian Social Liberal Party (SDP/HSLS) coalition and Croatian Democratic Union (HDZ) each; the coalition of the Croatian Peasants' Party, Istrian Democratic Assembly, Liberal Party, and the Croatian People's Party (HSS/IDS/LS/HNS) were given two seats, whereas the Croatian Party of Rights (HSP) and minority representatives won one seat each. The HRT Council has 23 members, of whom most are appointed by scientific, cultural, and other public institutions, as well as by the Catholic Church and other religious communities in Croatia.(hina) jn rml
