SABOR SETS UP DELEGATIONS TO INTERNATIONAL ORGANISATIONS

ZAGREB, March 16 (Hina) - The National Sabor's House of Representatives on Thursday elected members and secretary of the Croatian parliamentary delegation to the Assembly of the Organisation for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE), members of the executive committee of the national group to the Inter-parliamentary Union, members of the committee for the Sabor House of Representatives' inter-parliamentary cooperation as well as members of the committee for the Constitution, rule book and political system who are chosen among public figures, scholars and scientists. Additional consultations will be held on a draft decision on the election of the Sabor's delegation to the Council of Europe Parliamentary Assembly. The Elections, Nominations and Administrative Tasks Committee proposed that Mirjana Feric-Vac of the Social Democratic Party (SDP) be the head of that delegation, while Lavoslav Torti, the secretary of the Sabor's committee for the inter-parliamentary cooperation, was proposed as the permanent secretary of that body. The lower house elected Zdravko Tomac (SDP) as the head of the delegation to the OSCE Assembly, and the secretary of that body will be Milovan Petkovic, the secretary of the lower house's foreign policy committee. Vesna Pusic of the Croatian People's Party (HNS) was elected as the head of the executive committee of the national group to the Inter- parliamentary Union. Her deputy is Damir Juric of the Slavonian Baranian Croatian Party (SBHS). Ivo Skrabalo of the Croatian Social Liberal Party (HSLS) is at the helm of the lower house's committee for the inter-parliamentary cooperation and his deputy is Zdravka Busic of the Croatian Democratic Union (HDZ).
