ZAGREB, March 15 (Hina) - President of the Croatian National Parliament Zlatko Tomcic on Wednesday held talks with Danish Foreign Minister Niels Helveg Petersen about intensifying contacts between Croatia and Denmark, particularly on
the level of parliaments, the Parliament said in a statement. Tomcic and Petersen also spoke about the interest of Danish companies in possible investments in Croatia. Petersen expressed interest in the current and future work of the Croatian Parliament. Croatia's ambitions are great, such as raising the standard of living, more democracy and access to European associations with the final goal being joining the European Union and NATO, Tomcic said. He added that Croatia must amend laws pertaining to the respect of human rights, freedom of the media, improve the rights of minorities and fulfil requests of the international community.
